1973 Shovelhead Short Chop
Ted from Atlanta, Georgia, United States made available these photographs of his cool 1973 Shovelhead Short Chop which is a hardtail hand shifter with kick start only.
Ted: "1973 Harley Davidson Shovelhead Chopper Bobber. I have owned the bike for 5 years and have had no problems. I ride the bike every week. It is a tank.
Z bars turned upside down and reversed give it a low lean look. Also it has the ghetto fabulous Louis Vuitton Le Pera seat that I made from a knock off purse."
Ted: "Bike is not for the faint of heart. It has no front break on a 21" spool wheel. It is also kick start only. And it is set up as a hand shifter."
With her 38 degrees rake, this baby is a Chopper for sure! Bars are 12" wide.

Chopper or Short Chop???
There's Choppers, and then there's Short Chops...

1973 Harley Shovelhead Engine
Ted's Harley Chopper is powered by a classic 1340cc Shovelhead engine. Looks very good!
Ted: "Bike is titled 1973 Harley Davidson but actually has Delkron cases. Motor is strong and I change the oil every 2000 miles or so. It also has an external oil filter for extra protection. It has a new shorty S and S carb and electronic ignition. No points. It kicks on the first or second kick every time."
Louis Vuitton Le Pera Seat
Ted made the Louis Vuitton Le Pera seat from a knock off purse. Whether you like it or not, this hardtail's got style!
Harley Chopper, Short Chop or Bobber?
The difference between a Bobber and a Chopper is at the front end of the bike. This Chopper's tail shows maximum rubber, just like a proper Bobber!
Nice old school rear tire, by the way.
Actually, this 1973 Harley Shovelhead Short Chop is currently for sale.
