1969 Shovelhead Bobber Chopper

"Misfitsfiend" from Canoga Park, California, United States made available these photos of this classic Harley Shovelhead Chopper Bobber in late 60's / early 70's club style. The HD FL motorcycle features a 1969 Shovelhead motor in a 1956 Panhead frame which, of course, is a hardtail. Original drum brakes tront and rear.

1969 was the last year that the Harley Davidson Motor Company produced Shovelhead engines with Panhead engine bottom ends. Behind that flatside camcover is the drive train to the generator. While this Shovelhead engine was completely rebuilt, the exterior was left uncleaned. The owner wanted it to look as if it came straight out of a barn.

Custom controls.

The rear tire is an Avon Speedmaster. The 18 inch rim is laced with stainless steel Buchannan spokes to a rebuilt Star hub.

Custom foot controls operate the clutch and rear brake.
